Adding references is optional right now — you don’t need to complete this step today. We typically collect and verify references before activating your profile, and we’ll always let you know before we contact anyone. You can add up to 3 references from past families or employers.

For the safety of both nannies and families, we require an emergency contact. We will never contact this person unless there is a true emergency and we are unable to reach you — which hopefully will never be needed.

This should be a number where they’re likely to answer quickly.
