General

SittersPlus is an on-demand childcare service by KikiCare. Families post babysitting jobs for a flat fee, and vetted local sitters can pick up the bookings that fit their schedule.

We focus on families and sitters in Fairfield County, CT and nearby Westchester communities. As we grow, we may expand coverage—but our goal is to always feel local and personal.

SittersPlus is run by KikiCare, a local nanny placement and childcare company that handpicks and vets sitters before they ever accept a job.

For Families

Joining SittersPlus is completely free for families. You only pay a flat $25 posting fee each time you submit a job. There are no monthly memberships or recurring charges from us.

You pay your sitter directly at the end of the job—typically via cash, Venmo, or another method you both agree on. SittersPlus does not take a cut of what your sitter earns.

You can post jobs up to a few weeks in advance, or same-day for last-minute coverage, depending on sitter availability.

Yes. Families often use SittersPlus for last-minute needs. As long as there are available sitters in your area, your job will be texted out to the network and can be picked up quickly.

Once you submit a job and pay the posting fee, we text the details to vetted, background-checked sitters in your area. The first approved sitter to confirm gets the job. You’ll then see their profile and they’ll receive your address and key job information.

If a job isn’t picked up within a reasonable window before the start time, you’ll be able to adjust details, repost, or cancel. Our goal is to give you clarity—never to leave you guessing.

Yes. When you post a job, you can add notes like bedtime routine, allergies, pets, parking tips, homework, and house rules. Sitters see these details before they confirm, so expectations are clear from the start.

Absolutely. Rating and feedback help us see who your favorite sitters are so we can prioritize them for future jobs when they’re available.

For Sitters

Yes. It’s free to apply and join the SittersPlus network. As part of onboarding, sitters complete a vetting process and background check before they can accept jobs.

Once you’re approved, you’ll receive text messages when families post jobs that fit your area and general preferences. If you’re available, you reply to confirm. Jobs are first-come, first-served among approved sitters.

Sitters are paid directly by the family at the end of the job. Many families use cash or Venmo, but you can agree on the method that works best.

No. SittersPlus does not take a percentage of what you earn. The $25 fee is paid by the family when they post the job.

Life happens, but reliability is critical. If you truly can’t make a job, we ask that you cancel as early as possible so we can help the family find coverage. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows can lead to penalties or removal from the platform.

Yes. Families can rate you after each booking. Strong ratings help you stand out and get more of the jobs you want.

Safety & Vetting

Every sitter goes through an application review, reference checks, and a background check before joining the SittersPlus network. Kiki personally handpicks sitters so families can feel confident about who’s coming into their home.

Yes. Background checks are a key part of our vetting process before sitters are allowed to accept jobs.

We take reliability and safety seriously. No-shows, repeat late cancellations, or any behavior that violates our standards can lead to penalties or removal from the platform.

Absolutely. After each booking, families can rate and leave feedback about their experience. That feedback helps us maintain quality and improve matches over time.
